Job Responsibility

· Ensure full compliance with UK Health & Safety regulations, especially in energy and construction sectors.

· Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments on active BESS projects.

· Develop, implement, and maintain BESS-specific health and safety plans.

· Lead and support incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action planning.

· Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing training to employees and contractors.

· Promote best practices in electrical safety, with emphasis on LV and HV systems.

· Maintain and update safety records including RAMS, audit reports, incident logs, and training records.

· Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to enforce and improve safety performance.

Job Requirements

Must-Have:

In-depth knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation, CDM regulations, and applicable codes of practice
Proven background in the energy or construction sectors
Demonstrated experience conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
Strong understanding of electrical safety protocols and practices
Ability to design and implement practical safety strategies and site-specific controls
Confident in delivering inductions, toolbox talks, and safety training sessions to diverse audiences
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Collaborative mindset with ability to work effectively alongside contractors and multi-disciplinary teams
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travelfrequentlyto project sites
