Job Responsibility

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Programme Management

  • Own project programme and delivery accountability end-to-end.
  • Plan, monitor, and control site activities to align with overall project schedules and milestones.
  • Lead regular meetings with BOP (remote task leadership).
  • Take final responsibility for snagging and handover – overall accountability for final delivery.
  • Supervise andwitnessthe offloading, handling, and installation of BESS equipment.
  • Work closely with the Customer's BOP Contractor to ensure equipment is installed in line with our recommendations and Installation Manuals.
  • Support installation works by BOP – tracking progress against plan.
  • Support commissioning in close collaboration with internal technical teams.
  • Support road/route survey compliance with Traffic Management Plan.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary client-facing role for your projects.
  • Coordinate resources (labour, equipment, and materials) to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Support daily inspection report escalation toappropriate stakeholders.
  • Perform other related duties as needed to ensure delivery & service team and organisationalobjectivesare met.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with technical teams to ensure seamless integration between site installation and commissioning activities.
  • Act as the bridge between site operations and technical teams,facilitatingcommunication, scheduling, and issue resolution.
  • Align site readiness with technical commissioning requirements to avoid delays.
  • Escalate technical constraints or site limitations to both delivery and engineering leadership.
  • Ensure commissioning feedback loops are closed and translated into site action plans.

Risk, Compliance & Reporting

  • Hold final responsibility for EHS, RAMS, inductions, and reporting.
  • Ensure all site activitiescomply with Health, Environment & Safety (HES) standards, regulations, company policies, and Principal Contractor requirements.
  • Monitor quality and implementation of all Quality Assurance documentation.
  • Provide guidance to contractors and site staff on HES practices, ensuring adherence to risk assessments and method statements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits, documenting findings and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Support incident investigations and contribute to continuous improvement of site safety practices.
  • Track and manage site-level risks, issues, and changes, escalating where necessary.
  • Support project managers in preparing progress reports, forecasts, and site-related documentation.
  • Approve tool purchases with full budget accountability.
  • Perform approvals inEnvision system under the internalprinciple for budget control.
  • Oversee logistics – liaison with HQlogisticsand manage approvals.

Process Improvement & Team Leadership

  • Ensure proper implementation of the company's training and competency requirements for site staff.
  • Support document control processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of site safety practices (aligned with incident investigation outcomes).
Job Requirements

Qualification

Must-have

  • 7+years of project management experience in a delivery-focused environment, ideally with BESS or energy storage projects.
  • Proven experience as primary client-facing PM on live sites.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with technical, engineering, or commissioning teams.
  • Hands-on experience with Maximo (or similar ERP system) for approvals.
  • Familiarity with four-eyes principle financial controls.
  • Demonstrated accountability for EHS, RAMS, and site inductions.
  • Experience managing snagging and handover processes.
  • Experience supervising offloading, handling, and installation of heavy or sensitive equipment.
  • Ability to manage logisticscoordination with a central HQ.
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance documentation and site-level risk management.
  • Strong communicationand facilitation skills to bridge field and technical teams.

Advantage (Nice to have)

  • Experience working with Customer's BOP Contractors in a collaborative delivery model.
  • Background in commissioning of BESS or electrical systems.
  • Experience as a liaison between site delivery and central engineering teams.
  • Knowledge of Traffic Management Plans and route survey compliance.
  • Familiarity with document control systems (Aconex, SharePoint, or similar).
  • Formal HES certification (IOSH, NEBOSH, or equivalent).
  • Formal project management certification (PRINCE2, APM, or CAPM).
  • UK driving licence and willingness to visit sites as needed.
