Job Responsibility

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the single point of contact in HQ for the UK Technical Unit across R&D, Product Solutions, AC Systems, DC Systems, Fire Safety, Cyber Security, EMS/SCADA, and Quality.
  • Coordinate, track, and unblock technical deliverables required by UK projects from HQ teams, against agreed deadlines.
  • Translate UK technical requirements into the HQ working context (language, standards, internal processes) and vice versa.
  • Resolve routine technical clarifications independently; escalate scope-impacting, commercial, or contentious issues to UK DIM.
  • Maintain a live tracker of all open HQ-side technical actions for the UK portfolio, with weekly status reporting.
  • Attend HQ internal design reviews on behalf of the UK Technical Unit; capture decisions and ensure UK alignment.
  • Provide early warning on HQ resource constraints, design changes, or product roadmap updates affecting UK projects.
  • Support the UK DIM in preparation of triple-gate sign-off packages, ensuring HQ Engineering and HQ QA inputs are timely and complete.
  • Build and maintain working relationships across HQ functions to ensure responsive support to the UK team.
Job Requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical, Power Systems, Electronics or related Engineering discipline.
  • 6-9 years' experience in BESS, renewables, or grid-scale energy infrastructure, with at least 3 years in a cross-functional or interface role.
  • Fully bilingual in Mandarin Chinese and English, with proven ability to handle technical terminology in both languages.
  • Demonstrable experience coordinating across multiple engineering disciplines (electrical, mechanical, control, fire safety).
  • Strong understanding of BESS product architecture, BoP scope, and EPC delivery models.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable challenging technical positions constructively.
