Senior Manager - Logistics
1. For each bidding project, establish internal / external customer interfaces, investigate port facility information, develop vessel resources, and arrange local road surveys to provide competitive solutions and budgets for the C-section logistics execution of Envision Energy international wind farm and battery energy storage systems projects in Australia
2. Based on project contracts and construction plans, develop detailed end-to-end logistics execution plans for the C-section (including sea freight, land transport, port loading and unloading, inland waterway transport, etc.). Take full responsibility for coordinating and supervising the unloading, warehousing, inland transshipment, and on-site delivery of goods after arrival at the port. Also coordinate and handle any issues arising during customs clearance, such as inspections, detentions, and discrepancies in documentation.
3. Coordinate with tax and trade experts to gain a deep understanding of Australian customs policies, tax regulations, and product certification requirements to ensure smooth import processes and that all transportation and products comply with local regulations and requirements, mitigating compliance risks.
4. Maintain close communication with the project management team, owners, and suppliers to accurately arrange logistics arrival plans according to the construction schedule, avoiding on-site congestion or downtime. Supervise on-site loading and unloading safety to ensure compliance with company and international safety standards, handle abnormal situations such as cargo damage, and organize claims.
5. Establish and maintain a logistics tracking system, regularly prepare logistics performance reports, and provide real-time updates on cargo status and key milestones to the project management team. Analyze operational logistics status and performance, fully inform relevant stakeholders, and develop and implement alternative measures to address changing circumstances.
6. Maintain, update, and communicate relevant information (delivery schedules, contract terms), maintain the project's financial scorecard, develop and control the overall logistics budget, monitor all expenses, optimize the cost structure, and be responsible for logistics-related insurance coverage and claims.
7. Manage existing suppliers and develop local Australian resources and potential suppliers to ensure competitive transportation costs and good contract performance.
8. Support the product development/engineering team in product design and development to ensure the safe delivery of WTG, BESS equipment.
1. 10+ years of experience in project logistics solutions or execution management in Australia, with logistics or supply chain management experience and familiarity with local regulations, culture, and market dynamics.
2. Specialized Logistics Experience: 5+ years of experience in specialized logistics solutions or execution management in the wind power, energy, or heavy industry sectors, familiar with customs clearance, transportation, and warehousing of WTG (e.g., turbine blades, towers). Must have experience in wind power project logistics execution and be familiar with the end-to-end process from factory to construction site. Familiarity with the structural characteristics, packaging requirements, and process requirements of wind turbine equipment is preferred.
3. Industry Background: Background in the wind power or new energy industry, or in the logistics of heavy equipment projects, understanding the logistics needs throughout the entire lifecycle of a wind power project.
4. Logistics Management and Communication Skills: Proficient in international logistics operations, especially sea freight, inland, and multimodal transportation for large items and spare parts in Australia; familiar with major Australian ports and logistics hubs; possesses local logistics resources; and can coordinate with upstream and downstream parties in the supply chain.
5. Customs and Compliance Capabilities: Familiar with Australian customs import and export policies and trade compliance requirements; responsible for the preparation, review, and tracking of all import and export clearance documents (such as invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, insurance policies, etc.). Possesses independent handling and risk management capabilities for urgent customs incidents.
6. Bachelor's degree in project management, logistics, supply chain management, or international trade; Master's degree or PMP preferred.
7. Language Proficiency: Fluent in English (essential); fluency in Chinese preferred.
